When it comes to Good Times, long-travel bikes reign supreme. The CAPRA CORE 1 occupies that sweet spot between trail and downhill, offering a safety net of plush travel for ambitious sends and outright encouragement when you’re trying to break the sound barrier. From dusty summer laps to wet winter night rides, the CAPRA CORE 1 has your back - it’s everything your average enduro ripper needs and nothing they don’t.
Right down to this CORE 1 level, our bikes are ingrained with our signature gravity DNA. What it lacks in high-end components, it makes up in spirit, keeping the cost low but the stoke levels high. A bling drivetrain won't make you boost any higher or get your whips more sideways, and a little less adjustment on your fork doesn’t mean you’ll have a bad day at the trails. The build-kit is functional, easy to set up, and built to last, while the aluminum frame is crafted for epic performance on the trail. In short? This is the new standard for an entry-level bike.
When it comes to Good Times, long-travel bikes reign supreme. The CAPRA occupies that sweet spot between trail and downhill, offering a safety net of plush travel for heavy sends and outright encouragement when you're trying to break the sound barrier. Right down to this CORE 1 level, our bikes are ingrained with our signature gravity DNA, and from the freeride-inspired Marzocchi suspension to the MOB-proven Continental tires, every component here is easy to set up and built to last. Go ahead, this is the new standard for an entry-level bike – it's time to test your mettle.
The DIRTLOVE CORE 1 is your gateway to the world of slopestyle. As used by Erik Fedko, the DIRTLOVE AL frame is our most cutting-edge DJ frame to date. Its bombproof aluminum construction is ultralight and loaded with advanced features, while the responsive, competition-proven geometry aims to accelerate your trick progression.
This CORE 1 edition delivers class-leading value and is stacked with durable parts engineered for dirt jumping. Its spec goes big, including a Manitou Circus Expert fork and reliable YT componentry to dust off heavy impacts.

29 or MX is not a question of belief – what matters is where and how the bike is used, and which features are given priority. To allow riders to get the most out of their bike in a category as broad and diversified as Enduro, it is not only the wheel size that differs between the two CAPRAs but also their frames and kinematics. The CAPRA MX is the first choice for those who like to rip it up in the bike park – for that reason it has shorter chainstays, which makes the bike more agile. At the same time, the rear triangle is more progressive to make sure that there are enough reserves to deal with bigger hits. On the other hand, the longer chainstays of the CAPRA 29 gives the bike better balance and helps it climb like a goat, although it’s not exactly capricious on the way back down either. For real. With its balanced progressivity, this is not just a racing machine but a full-on frenzy of speed on two wheels.
With the asymmetrical wing of the new CAPRA it is now possible to mount a standard drinking bottle or the new Thirstmaster 6000 (620 ml) in the frame. Loss of stiffness and strength? Negative - smart engineering makes it possible! The Thirstmaster 6000 is supplied free of charge with every CAPRA order.
The rivets on the bottom side of the top tube enable riders to attach spare tubes, tools, or a banana to the top tube with the help of a utility belt (not provided).
The new generation of CAPRA features a Flip Chip on both the MX and 29 builds, to allow you to adjust the geometry according to the terrain and your riding style. The Flip Chip eyelet can now be found on the shock yoke. The low position provides for a more aggressive headtube angle and lowers the BB, ideal for fast tracks. In the high position, the headtube angle is 0.3 degrees steeper and the BB is higher for more ground clearance and better performance on steep climbs.
The CAPRA sports SRAM’s universal derailleur hanger which guarantees worldwide supply of spares. Sent it too hard? You should be able to find this part in any bike shop around the world.
To make sure that the CAPRA is compatible with the most recent and latest developments of drivetrain technology, the Boost standard was selected. It ensures sufficient tire clearance and spot-on frame stiffness while keeping the rear end narrower compared to the use of Super Boost.
For optimal protection, all cables are routed almost completely through the frame. Uninterrupted internal tubes provide for easy cable replacement and also help prevent unwanted noise. All the cable ports are sealed with cable plugs to prevent water and dirt ingress while a cable clamp on the seat tube prevents any unwanted cable slippage.
The head box is an iconic design element that adds stiffness to the head tube by widening the frame tubing in this area without causing it to become unproportional. It gives the bike the recognizable YT CAPRA look and allows for smooth and reliable cable routing.
The Wing is an essential feature of the CAPRA which adds stiffness and strength to the frame. The new generation is one-sided, enabling the same frame performance while creating space for the new Thirstmaster 6000 (free of charge) and most other standard water bottle sizes.
We shifted the optical weight and volume on the CAPRA MKIII from the top tube and seatstay towards the down tube and chainstay. Higher volumes in these areas generate more stiffness and lead to a better weight-to-stiffness ratio. Additionally, this creates a slacker, more dynamic bike.
High-performance, cold-forged, hydro-formed, and double-butted aluminum for extreme durability. Our AL frames are developed specifically for lovers of high-quality aluminum bikes. These elaborately-designed frames set new standards in aluminum workmanship; high performance at an attractive price is the focus here and durability and carefree maintenance are their strengths.
The contact surfaces for the integrated headset are machined directly into the frame. This helps optimize the weight to performance ratio in this area, thanks to the homogeneity of the material. Additionally, the integrated bearing shells of the ZeroStack design ensure a high level of durability.
The steeper seat angle of the new CAPRA puts the rider in a centered seated position, making uphills even easier than before. At the same time, the head angle has been made slacker in order to increase the performance on heavy downhill runs. The reach has been extended accordingly, to allow the rider to easily shift his or her weight as required to adapt to any riding situation.
The CAPRA has never pedaled as well as the latest generation. Anti-squat has been optimized and anti-rise has been increased. The bike now accelerates better and the rear end reacts neutrally to braking or pedaling influences.
The axle path has been optimized and is rearward orientated on the new generation of the CAPRA. This improves the capability to roll over obstacles as well as rear-end responsiveness.
To ensure that taller riders experience the same balanced performance of the CAPRA, frame sizes XL & XXL have customized, longer seatstays, resulting in a longer rear end as a whole.
Our award-winning V4L suspension technology provides sensitivity off the top, with good mid-stroke support and plenty of end-stroke progressivity. The nice pop helps get the bike airborne whenever you want, while the end-stroke progressivity makes sure the rear shock doesn’t bottom out even on monster jumps. The high amount of anti-squat keeps the rear suspension neutral and improves pedal efficiency.
The silent chainstay protection is a novelty: the frame is protected from chain slap while the knobs reduce chain slap noise. All you’ll hear is the adrenaline rushing through your veins and your tires rolling over the trail.
In addition to the double-sealed industrial bearings used, all pivot points are equipped with an additional seal to keep water and dirt at bay, this protects the bearings and extends their service life.
Made from super-tough and wear-resistant PA 66, the downtube protector is bolted on and can be easily replaced. It wraps around the bottom bracket and thus provides extra protection for the sidewalls of the downtube from impacts and scratches. Additionally, the rubber chainstay and seat stay guards help prevent unwanted noise from the drivetrain.
Increased heel clearance to reduce friction caused by the shoes rubbing on the frame while riding.
